Its a been a long time since I made a blog entry here on ACC, busy working on web design projects and getting under the hood of my Mercedes Pens Art Car for some much needed engine work.
But its great to get back into the game with this amazing Magic Bus, Byron Bay, the world's most colorful double-decker bus that is is now in service. This bus was painted by Andrea Davies also creator of the "wallpaper" Golf featured a while back here on ACC. Thank you for the submission.

I just got this in tonight and thought it would be a great addition to ACC. Its a 1990 GMC 3300 17 passenger school bus located in Capitan, NM (near Ruidoso). Its owned by Linda & Kurt Howard, owners of Horsemen's Grill & Cabins in Capitan, NM and was painted by This Side That Side, J. Atlasand and completed in only 20 days, December 2009.
The art bus will be used as leisure vehicle for Linda & Kurt and a seasonal shuttle to/from and around the many art communities around Capitan and parts of New Mexico.

Argentine Bus After
Argentine Bus Before

I found this before and after shot of a camper van on the Plaza delos Dos Congresos parked near the Argentine National Congress as a form of protest by the owner about something or rather. Some months later the bus gets a fantastic makeover by a young French artist named Louis D’Anjou a.k.a 'GROLOU, who thought the bus needed a facelift. I think the new look is a vast improvement, nice work.

Draka the Dragon Head/Photo by Lisa Nigro
Draka the Dragon is a 112-ft long, mutant vehicle created by sculptor Lisa Nigro. This is a fire breathing mobile/kinetic sculpture that is built on a truck along with three trailers for the rest of the body. It was originally created back in 2000 at Burning Man in Black Rock Desert, NV, made up mainly of recycles materials and capable of blowing a 50-ft burst of flame. Inside there is a bar, elegant decor, room for music and comfortable seating for approximately 50 -75 people. Sounds like a great limo rental ride for prom night. Lisa was inspired by the book Wicked - The Life & Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, by Gregory Maguire, and his description of a Dragon Clock Tower that roamed from village to village displaying twisted puppet theatre. By the way if you have any video footage of Draka the Dragon in action, please email it to Lisa, she might be featured on Discovery Channel and she wants live footage to be included in the special.

I can't believe how amazing and beautiful these art buses are from Pakistan. The amount of time spend creating these wondrous works of art stun me senseless. I also can't imagine the time spend in keeping up with it all and making sure the colors stay vibrant for a long time. These and many more are found on drive line

I got a tip about these amazing art buses in the Philippines called a Jeepney Bus. I had never heard of them until now and that is why I love it when people email photos and post links in the comments of web sites were I can find new and interesting art vehicles. Keep them coming.
