The next generation Kia Optima is set to make its world premiere at the 2010 New York International Auto Show. "The next generation of Kia Optima possesses the power to surprise," says Peter Schreyer, Kia's Chief Design Officer. "It's a car that people will simply not expect from Kia - and that's exactly what we set out to achieve." Kia has officially unveiled the next Optima four-door coupe, ahead of the full reveal set to take place at the 2010 New York Auto Show. Kia’s new flagship sedan/coupe looks to be a far more attractive and far more worthy of a flagship designation.
2011 Kia Optima
Just weeks ago Kia released new sketches of the upcoming 2011 Magentis four-door coupe – currently known as the Optima sedan in America. The sketches look to be very true to the now official images that have been released ahead of the full reveal set for the upcoming 2010 New York Auto Show. The saloon exudes an athletic confidence from every angle - its raked roofline, high and pronounced shoulder line of its sculpted flanks and its extended wheelbase are complemented by flared wheelarches and a shallow glasshouse that create a saloon with a muscular, self-assured stance. The striking visage of the car features a new interpretation of Kia's bold 'tiger' family face that's edged by piercing projector headlamps.
2011 Kia Optima
The Kia Optima is currently the flagship sedan for the automaker and the next model gains considerable changes in the exterior cosmetics department. The outgoing Optima is a fairly tame sedan, but Kia is replacing its sedan with a much sportier silhouette – much more akin to a coupe, than a sedan. So much so, Kia says the 2011 Optima will be labeled as a 4-door coupe, rather than a sedan. Following the theme of recent model revisions, new Kia Optima is longer, lower and wider than before, the Kia's coupe-like profile is enhanced by the sweeping chrome arc that flows from A to C pillar, a distinctive design motif that visually lowers the car further still and enhances its cab-backwards proportions.
2011 Kia Optima
In addition to significantly overhauling the overall styling direction of the Magentis/Optima, Kia says that it will be bringing its next flagship sedan/coupe closer to the ground with a lower stance, in addition to giving it a wider and more stable stance to go long with its longer wheelbase. Kia says the end result is a four-door coupe that has more room for its occupants and cargo alike, as well as a more planted driving dynamic. "For this car we started with a clean sheet and worked to achieve an exterior design with a European feeling and stance," explains Gregory Guillaume, Chief Designer, Kia Europe. To help achieve this, the exterior was designed by his team in Frankfurt. The interior was created by the design team in California.
2011 Kia Optima
Power-wise, the Optima will use the same engines as the 2011 Sonata and will be offered in four and six-cylinder versions. The four-cylinder offering, should it come from the 2011 Sonata, will be a 2.4-liter good for 200 horsepower and 186 lb.-ft of torque – all the while getting as much as 35 miles per gallon on the highway. The new D-segment offering is spacious, and with class-leading levels of safety and luxury equipment, the intelligently configured and driver-oriented cabin underlines a newfound poise and presence. "This new model embodies Kia's confident new design direction," says Schreyer. "It's a global car with individual appeal."
The 2011 Kia Optima is expected to hit the market in the fall of 2010, with a hybrid version possibly available at lunch, or relatively soon after.

Kia Procee'd got wings

One of the lesser-known companies proposed to establish Kia Procee'd unique doors, in the style of Lamborghini, who instantly became a hit. And the cost of such devaysa relatively high - 1,599 euros, a two-door, if you want to do cruise only one door, then it will cost 699 euros.

For more precise positioning of these doors when you close the fastener system used by GRS, which also reduces the load on the bearing body of the car. Such a system of doors is not the sort of private invention, it is officially registered and that the most important certified system, as approved by the German transport management.

Installation of LSD-doors does not cause much difficulty, since they use regular seating, so any time you can return to more familiar serial execution.

"The Doors" gull wing "attached Kia Procee'd sensational look and are ideal for fans of extraordinary tuning" - the report said.

The technology of hydrogen fuel much more needs to be improved so that such vehicles could appear in the mass market.

The main cause of poor circulation of such machines is their estimated cost. According to Kia, even if the manufacturer would be able to enter the number of 50 thousand cars a year, they would now cost 50 thousand dollars each.

And while supporters of hydrogen cars can take this news definitely good - it was evidence of intent to issue such public vehicles, the price is still very high. In addition, if Kia is actually going to build on the 50 000 vehicles per year, for their maintenance will be necessary and adequate infrastructure. Moreover, it will be necessary to lay down in price the cost of processing, storage and transportation of fuel, and therefore it is the driver entry in the penny.

If you talk about specific plans, the remaining manufacturers still appreciate the opportunity to release hydrogen transport, as 1 to 10, increases the chances of the Koreans to 6-7 against the 10. «It is likely that by 2020, many people hear about these cars made by Hyundai-Kia», - the representative of the company.

Reviewing the 2011 Kia Forte, It wasn't too long ago - the 1990s - that economy car was a polite marketing euphemism for pathetic losermobile. Economy cars were mostly miserable; sad-looking and underpowered. Tinny, plasticky, embarrassing little drones whose only virtues were the cheap price and the good gas mileage. As soon as you got one you wanted to get rid of it. You drove one because you had to. Or because you needed cheap/basic/bare-bones transpo.

Never because you wanted to. That's not how it is anymore - and the Kia Forte is a case in point.

WHAT IT IS

The Forte is Kia's entry-level compact coupe, sedan/five-door hatchback. It replaces the Spectra, a car that was an "economy car" in the fullest, smelliest sense of the term. Prices start at $14,995 for the base LX sedan with a manual transmission and run to $19,395 for the sport-themed SX with automatic. The new five-door hatchback EX version starts at $16,895. A "Koupe" version - almost a sub-model, because it has different sheetmetal as well as two fewer doors - starts at $16,795 and tops out at $19,395. (It will be reviewed separately.)

WHAT'S NEW FOR 2011

The five-door hatchback sedan is new for 2011. Six-speed transmissions (automatics and manuals). All trims get standard Sirius satellite radio with three-month free trial subscription, plus Bluetooth wireless and steering wheel-mounted audio controls.

WHAT'S GOOD

Very strong (156 hp) standard engine; even stronger (173 hp) available engine. Six-speed automatic or manual transmissions (replacing last year's four and five-speeds). Close to 40 MPGs with available Fuel Economy Package. Standard AC and MP3 player/USB port and Bluetooth. Best warranty coverage on the market.

WHAT'S NOT SO GOOD

Fuel Economy Package upgrades (such as the more aerodynamic exterior; more on this below) should be incorporated into standard features. With so many excellent cars in this segment, Kia will have a tough time pushing its way to the front of a very crowded - and very competitive - field.

UNDER THE HOOD

One of the Forte's fortes is power. Even the least expensive LX versions come standard with a 156 hp, 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine. (For comparison, a Toyota Corolla's standard 1.8 engine is rated at 132 hp; a Honda Civic's standard 1.8 liter engine at 140 hp.) It is among the most powerful standard engines you'll find in a car costing under $15k to start. The 2.0 liter engine is offered with either a new-for-2011 six-speed manual or (optionally) Kia's six-speed "Sportmatic" automatic, with driver-controllable shifting.

Gas mileage is 22 city/32 highway (manual versions) but you can notch this up to 27 city/37 highway if you buy the optional Fuel Economy Package, which includes low-rolling-resistance tires, electric-assist power steering, low-drag alternator, the six-speed automatic and a more aerodynamic exterior to cut down on wind resistance.

SX models get a larger, 2.4 liter engine that delivers 173 hp. It comes with either manual or automatic transmission, too. The Forte with 2.0 liter engine and six-speed manual can reach 60 mph in just over 8 seconds; automatics are 2-3 tenths of a second slower. An SX Forte with the six-speed manual can reach 60 mph in about 7.3-7.5 seconds. All versions are front-wheel-drive.

ON THE ROAD

The new six-speed automatic fixes the one are where the Forte had a case of The Cheaps when it came out last year - saddled with a four-speed automatic that was as dated as Vidal Sassoon jeans and boom boxes.

Kia fixed this, muey pronto - and it shows in te '11 models' quicker acceleration and improved fuel economy, as well as much improved overall driving feel now that the shifts are snappier and there's less RPM drop between each gear change. Models with the 2.0 liter engine accelerate as well or better than other cars n this class/price range - and the SX with the 173 hp engine is as quick 0-60 as a Mazda Miata (really).

The Forte's ride is softer and more isolated from the road than the typical economy car's - a desirable feature for most people, who probably aren't looking to throttle-steer through corners as much as they are looking for a quiet, comfortable ride.

As a commuter or highway cruiser, it's one of the best available small cars going - in my opinion. Some reviewers have faulted the Forte for excess body roll and less than razor-sharp steering - and this is true, if you drive it like a high-performance sports car, diving into corners at 20 mph over the posted speed limit. But most people don't drive this way; even fewer drive cars like the Forte this way. High-performance corner-burning is not what this car is about - because it's not what it's supposed to be about. There are Civic Si's and Sentra SE-R's for that.

I liked the Forte's soft, plush, almost mid-sized car ride more than the Honda Civic's noticeably firmer, almost sports-car feel - and much more than the much over-rated Toyota Corolla's tinny/bouncy economy compact feel.

AT THE CURB

It's hard to tell from looking at it that the Forte is Kia's least expensive model. It's a pretty large car for a compact - and there are several un-economy car details such as the compound curves of the front quarter panels, which arc upward near the joint at the base of the windshield (the "A" pillar) to meet an upward swooshing front door sill. Ok, so the front end has some obvious Civic-inspired hints to it. But there's nothing wrong with borrowing a good look if you do a good job borrowing it.

The interior's big selling point is its roominess compared with competitors. For example, the Forte has more front and rear legroom and headroom than the Corolla and Civic). You could buy a Nissan Versa 1.6 and get more backseat room - including about three inches more rear seat legroom - than all of them for around $11k with AC. But the Versa 1.6 is as basic transportation as basic transportation gets. It doesn't even come with a radio. You've gotta pay extra for that. Seriously. Meanwhile, the Forte comes standard with a pretty decent MP3-playing stereo with Sirius satellite - as well as AC and Bluetooth wireless connectivity. Plus full gauges. Etc.

Lots of trunk space, too. Almost 15 cubic feet - which is significantly more than the Civic (12 cubic feet ) and the Corolla (12.3 cubic feet). The Forte's trunk number also beats the price-busting Versa (13.8 cubic feet).

THE REST

Kia must feel confident about the quality of its cars because it offers the most comprehensive and generous warranty coverage in the business: Ten years/100,000 mile powertrain (engine and ad transmission) warranty - and that is indeed a fine thing. But even finer is the 60,000 mile (and five year) coverage on the whole car, wheels to roof. Plus roadside assistance.

This is nearly twice the coverage Toyota and Honda offer (three years/ 36,000 miles). Which is worth more to you - the "name" that comes with a Toyota or Honda? Or the sure knowledge that if something breaks or fails or otherwise causes you grief for the first five years and 60,000 miles of ownership, it'll be Kia's problem and not yours?

KIA Super Sport Cars Proport To The Fan of Sport Cars (Super-Sport Cloth)
As we all know KIA is more into making family cars, but if the brand ever makes its mind to build a Super sport cars, it would somewhat look like this. It's almost a common thing to see designers around the world create all kinds of futuristic concepts that have close to zero chances to enter production even in prototype form. In fact, most of these are the result of pure imagination and car companies don't even hear about them, although Internet users praise the designs and ask for a production model.

The vehicle has some of the famous elements of the KIA design and it seems an imagination worth commercialization.
This is exactly the car of the so-called Kia Proport, a sports car which goes way beyond what a Kia fan would expect from the South Korean manufacturer. In fact, it looks so good that it's hardly possible to see such a vehicle manufactured under Kia's badge. KIA Super Sport Cars Proport To The Fan of Sport Cars (Super-Sport Cloth). SPESIFIKASI Kia Picanto | Luncurkan 2012

The figure of the latest generation of Kia Picanto which will be present again in 2011 caught the camera snooper road tests. One of the favorite European city car was featured with a glimpse of the same dimension with the previous generation.

Line exterior design similar to the figure of his brother, Venga. This is evident from the design of the hood and headlights are wider. Obvious is the use of the projector type lamp, making it appear as a pioneer in his class later. While in the interior, the touch of a similar design with the latest Sportage looks will adorn the cabin.

Overall figures appear more sporty Picanto. The car that was developed in Europe Kia headquarters in Rüsselsheim, Germany continues to be offered with three-and five-door variants.

Kia Sorento UVO voice-control interface: Making its debut in the 2011 Sorento SUV, the UVO (your voice) system allows hands-free, voice-activated operation of the car's stereo as well as plug-in accessory devices such as MP3 players, PDAs and USB memory sticks. The driver can also send and receive phone calls (and text messages) via voice prompt. UVO features adaptive software that helps it learn each driver's different voice pattern - and it's fluent in multiple languages.

Kia says UVO should help drivers keep their eyes on the road - and their hands on the wheel - instead of looking at and fiddling with lots of buttons as they drive.

Ford's Sync system - which came out about two years ago - is similar but less advanced. For example, UVO can directly access the Internet through a wireless connection to continuously update its software, features and functions - which implies that UVO could also enable drivers to access e-mail and even surf the web while in their cars.

Ford is working on an updated version of its Sync technology that reportedly will allow the same thing - although it's still an open question whether it's a good idea for drivers to be surfing the Information Highway while they're driving down the actual highway.

Kia is becoming the new Hyundai as parent company Hyundai (seller of V-8 powered, rear-wheel-drive luxury rollers like the $55k Equus sedan) rapidly becomes the new Lexus.

The Cadenza is an all-new mid-large front-wheel-drive sedan intended to undercut competitors like the Toyota Avalon (and Buick LaCrosse) on price while matching or surpassing them on features and equipment. It is a larger car than the model it replaces - the Amanti - and also larger than its primary target, the $27,945 Avalon, with more wheelbase (112 inches vs. 111 inches for the Toyota) and more head and legroom inside for passengers.

Buyers can choose either a 162 hp four-cylinder or 286 hp V-6, the latter outgunning the Avalon's 276 hp, 3.5 liter V-6. Six-speed automatics will be teamed with both engines. The Cadenza will also offer high-end audio, communications and safety equipment comparable to what you'd expect to find in cars priced well over $30k. The Cadenza will arrive at dealerships later this fall. III SUVs/trucks
