Ford Focus RS next generation possible will be completed with the system of a hybrid all wheel drive similar to system Peugeot Hybrid 4.
According to the data received by edition Autocar from "supervising sources" in company Ford, the hybrid system on the basis of two-litre turbo motor EcoBoost is at an early stage of working out. According to plan, the electromotor will be located on a rear axle that will transform RS into an all-wheel drive sports hatchback.
Petrol EcoBoost which is planned to establish under a cowl of model Focus ST, will develop about 250 h.p. In a case with Focus RS its capacity remains same, and the increase among horsepowers will be provided with the electric motor. It is expected that total capacity of two units will make about three hundred horsepowers. Besides, such approach will allow to reduce fuel consumption essentially.
