Lee Iacocca - the former Ford Motor Company president is back stumping cars, this time a limited- legendary muscle car called the 2009 1/2 Iacocca Silver 45th Anniversary Ford Mustang.
The car was almost two years in the works and it is a joint project of Iacocca designer Michael Leone and Gaffoglio Family Metalcrafters. Inside, Iacocca's Mustang gets Diamond Design leather seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with "I" logos, and Iacocca-badged aluminum door sill plates. Finishing off the look of the car are 20-inch Iacocca Design wheels wrapped with Goodyear Eagle tires.
There will only be 45 copies of the 2009½ special edition cars and each will feature a special Mustang fastback appearance and a specially chosen silver hue paint finish.
The 2009 1/2 Iacocca Silver 45th Anniversary Ford Mustang will be available in late July, the dealer center of Southern California Galpin Ford - the largest Ford dealer center for the past 19 years. Prices has not yet been made public.
